Balint Koczor

Associate Professor in Quantum Information Theory, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford

Bálint is currently Associate Professor in Quantum Information Theory at Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. He obtained his PhD degree from the Technical University of Munich where he held several competitive scholarships and his research focused on fundamental aspects of quantum theory. He later joined the group of Prof. Simon Benjamin in Oxford to work on the theory of early quantum computers and then held the Glasstone Research Fellowship. Bálint is internationally recognised for his works on quantum error mitigation and near-term quantum computing. He also works part time for the company Quantum Motion as a senior quantum theorist.
