Luo Mai

Assistant Professor, School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh

He leads the large-scale computer systems group and does research in computer systems, quantum computing, machine learning and data management. He has a track record of publishing papers in top computer system conferences including OSDI, NSDI, VLDB, USENIX ATC and CoNEXT. Luo’s research has received awards from Microsoft, Alibaba, Huawei and Tencent. He is the recipient of a prestigious Google PhD fellowship, 2017 ACM Multimedia Best Open-Source Software Award and the nominee of 2014 ACM CoNEXT best paper. By 2022, he has been the principal investigator of research projects with over £1.3M.
