Sergii Strelchuk

Sergii Strelchuk is a Royal Society University Research Fellow since 2020 and part of the Cambridge Centre for Quantum Information and Foundations at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP), University of Cambridge. His expertise ranges from Quantum Computing to Quantum Information Theory. He is also a visiting research fellow at the School of Mathematics, University of Bristol. Since 2018, he is a network member, Cambridge Trust and Technology Initiative. He was invited as an external advisory on the Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory (HCL) annual Advisory Committee Meeting in 2020. He sustains collaboration with the HCL on the topic of quantum advantage in quantum metrology (funded by HCL personal grant). Since 2020, he is a Scholar Board member of History Studio – a firm co-founded by Pulitzer Prize laureate Prof. Heather Thompson, providing research and project development for film, television, podcasts, theatre and gaming. He has consulted in matters regarding the scientific veracity of content developed in the above areas. He was an invited panel speaker of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) Strategic Visioning Panel in 2020. He lectures Part III Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Computing courses at DAMTP. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College), and his previous positions include Research Fellowship at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at DAMTP.
