11 Investigations Awarded

RoaRQ has awarded £2.3M to 11 cross-disciplinary investigations of academics from 14 UK universities.

The RoaRQ Founding Investigators and Programme Coordinator worked hard to make contact with a broad spectrum of UK researchers in different areas of Computer Science and invited them to submit expressions of interest in finding ways to advance the development of Quantum Computing.

In October 2022, RoaRQ held an online workshop for RoaRQ’s new network to discuss, exchange, and plan to create a portfolio of research investigations to form a programme shaped by its members.

Proposals for investigations were submitted in January 2023 and in March, 11 investigations were awarded sub-grants to carry out their research to tackle the challenge of achieving Robust and Reliable Quantum Computing.

RoaRQ is delighted to welcome researchers from the Universities of Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Imperial College London, King’s College London, Middlesex, Queen’s Belfast, Sheffield, Oxford, Southampton, University College London and Warwick to its alliance.

Let the work commence.
